Determine Company Objectives

It is essential that your business's environmental committee clarify their sustainability goals. This will allow SHC to design solutions towards achieving these targets, which will in turn foster support and enthusiasm within your organisation to ensure project successes.

Onsite Analysis and Resource use Data

SHC analyse utility bills for a 1-year period to observe seasonal variations in resource use. SHC will analyse the electric base and peak load profile in order to determine the feasibility of plant eqipment upgrades or the installation of onsite energy solutions.

Identify Efficiency Upgrades

As part of your company's environmental strategy SHC will require the specifications of all the energy intensive plant equipment to ascertain the feasibility of upgrades or replacement technology. The facilities we will analyse include:

  • Lighting
  • On Site Power Generation
  • HVAC (Heating Ventilation & Cooling)
  • Hot Water Heating
  • Power factor correction
  • Water distribution & outlets
  • Waste water
  • Laundry Equipment
  • Cool room / Freezer room
  • Kitchen Appliances

We will factor in tariff increases, inflation and, changes in government policy to provide your business with a pragmatic cost vs. benefit estimation.

SHC will provide a written report accompanied by a presentation of results for your business. This session will initiate discussion about the options and satisfy queries about the report. We will implement a quarterly emissions monitoring program as part of the re-assessment stage in the carbon management procedure.

Budget Allocation

SHC will develop a timeline for implementing projects approved by your committee. The information provided by SHC will allow your finance department to allocate the necessary funds for each project and inform key personnel when their assistance will be required.

Implementation & Commissioning

SHC will manage the project in entirety, drawing on experienced project managers and engineers within the energy and water industry. Where necessary SHC will affiliate with supplier & construction partners to deliver the most effective solution in the market and to guarantee our high standards are maintained.

Consistent Monitoring Program

It is essential to initiate a clear and transparent monitoring system for consistent reporting for Carbon and Ecological Footprints.
